Diet plays an important role in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome. At the same time, special attention should be paid not only to energy intake, but to the mealtime as well.
Morning time is recognized to be the most beneficial.
Specialists from the Wolfson Medical Center conducted an experiment involving 60 women of the age from 25 to 39 years. All of them suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome, while body mass index in women was normal.
For all participants of the experiment a daily rate of calories of 1800 kcal was established. One group of women received the main part of the diet in the morning and the second - during dinner. The experiment lasted for three months.
At the end of the experiment it was found that women from the first group returned to normal hormonal balance, and the amount of androgens reduced by half. Also, the beginning of ovulation period was observed in the patients from the first group.
Neither positive nor negative dynamics was observed in women from the second group. According to the research, nutritionists recommend women with polycystic disease to pay particular attention to the proper breakfast. This will help to normalize reproductive functions of the body.
